Enjoy the Benefits of Membership

East Valley Back Country Horsemen (EVBCH) is a nonprofit volunteer service organization focused on ensuring public lands remain accessible to equestrians. We advocate for private, recreational pack and saddle stock use of public lands and the stewardship of those lands. The Back Country Horsemen of America, of which we are a part, is the only national organization that promotes the use of private, recreational pack and saddle stock use on our public lands.

  • We assist with trail maintenance and improvement projects, keeping trails clear for all user groups.
  • We are devoted equestrians who love to ride and explore new trails.
  • We welcome riders of all types, levels, ages, and interests.
  • We welcome members who do not ride, but are interested in supporting trail maintenance and enjoying our many educational and social activities.

Membership entitles you to membership in both East Valley Back Country Horsemen and Back Country Horsemen of America.  Members receive the Back Country Horsemen America (BCHA) National Newsletter published quarterly.  The newsletter contains information regarding the activities of the National Board of Directors and the committee chairs (Education, Public Liaison, Wilderness, and Media Communications) along with news from the Twenty Five states represented in BCHA.

BCHA is a member of the Association Resource Group  (ARG). ARG offers discounts on products and services to their members. They also provide information on topics applicable to affiliate organizations and their membership. EVBCH members in good standing qualify for ARG's many benefits.

Equisure Insurance through BCHA provides discounted rates ($20 Single  or $40 Family), Equine general Liability coverage for up to $1,000,000, and is valid from January 1 through December 31 each year. The time of year that the insurance is purchased does not change the renewal date of January 1st.

You must be a member of a BCH chapter to purchase insurance. To download the form and send in your payment or find FAQs visit the Membership section of the BCHA website.  https://www.bcha.org/membership/
