Throughout COVID the Education Committee continued presenting their programs by meeting outdoors, masking, social distancing, sanitizing and limiting group sizes. Our 2020-21 season was very successful in delivering educational programs and events to our members in spite of all the challenges faced.
Education is an important and a critical feature of what we do. The goal of the Education Committee is to keep our volunteer members informed, trained, and up to date. We offer a variety of educational programs. Educational topics rotate from year to year depending on member preference. A few examples of educational programs offered in the past: Leave-No-Trace, CPR/First Aid, Trail Etiquette and Rules, Desert Survival and Safety Training, GPS Land Navigation, Pack Clinic and Techniques (in conjunction with Pack Committee), adherence to USFS guidelines, and more. We offer a monthly New Member Introduction meeting for any members to learn more about our mission. Members who no longer ride have found they can provide important support to EVBCH through supporting our educational activities.
If you would like to join the Education Committee to assist with any educational events or planning, please submit an email through the "Contact Us" section.
