Our social activities give EVBCH members the opportunity to socialize and get to know one another outside of the rides. The Membership and Retention Committee works with other committees to plan and organize many different types of social activities including:
(For a complete list of activities, see the "Calendar" section.)
Whether you ride or not, your skills are needed. If you would like to help with activities or want more information, please submit an email through the "Contact Us" section.
See the spectacular Superstition Wilderness with the Back Country Horsemen. Enjoy the scenery and learn about what you can expect to see and do on horseback in this area. Arizona is a fabulous place in general and the horse friendly trails on the Superstition wilderness are especially wonderful.
Social rides are coordinated with the Trails Committee, but are a function of the Membership Committee.
Social Rides offer our members a chance to ride and learn the trails in our Forest Service Agreement, as well as other trails in the area. We have a diverse membership and some of our members can no longer go on recons or work projects, but still enjoy riding. Our BCHA sanctioned social rides reinforce LNT principles and give all our members an opportunity to get out on the trails with each other. A maximum of 10 riders are permitted on these rides. Sign up is through East Valley Back Country Horsemen Facebook Events or by contacting the Trails Coordinator.
Please see the Trails section for Trail Rules and a downloadable Medical Information Card.
